- what about those of us who read for education? i am refering to the fact that i read non fiction pretty much exclusively except for my yearly reading of lotr and the hobbit. which i annotate and critically analyze for real world applicability. i read biography's and history books mostly.

- they'll be selling pink slime and meat glued meat again in a few years once the "pr" debacle dies down. all these grocery stores will sell it again once the media spotlight passes and consumers forget about it. they'll just quietly reintroduce it all again.

- this is all pure bs. don't allow yourself to be fooled. there is no reason to need to cut medicare, social security or any other federal program that helps regular folks get a leg up in the economy. the only reason to cut these areas is to continue to fund corporate welfare programs like the DoD.

- actually if you refer to my above post and read the budget for the usps you will see that minus the shifting of $6 billion dollars the usps has to "prefund" pensions it would have turned a nice profit.

- they are both too expensive. can't afford $15 to send a birthday card that will arrive in a day which is what fedex/ups would charge for the comparable service from the usps.
